Over the years, quality has grown from a department with a responsibility at Heus, to simply a belief in how we do business. It has come from quality certifications like QS9000, which is now changing to TS1549, and implementing tactics like lean manufacturing and Six Sigma. It has shown itself in continuing growth and achievements, which are the end result of a successful quality system. During our latest expansion, we quadrupled the size of our quality room and added much new equipment. This is a step, but the more important step is dedicating the people to use these resources to stay on top. Making good parts is the first step. Making good parts quicker and eliminating potential problems is the goal of the system.
